and so 2015 begins!!!!

IMG_6340-2

I’ve been looking over the past year with mixed feelings. Below is my 2014 goal list. I’ve always been a goal oriented person, I know there are those out there that this doesn’t work out for, but I love doing this each and every year. By the way I’ve been working on this year’s 2015 goal list since October=) And the things I didn’t get done in 2014 don’t bother me, if I still want to do them then I’ll add them to the new years list, if not then whatever!

-2014 GOALS-

  • See the ocean
  • Fly in a plane
  • Debt free
  • Start and photography school
  • Become a certified bookkeeper
  • Finish Mrs Saul’s quilt
  • See three new states
  • Visit two friends out of state
  • Trail ride
  • Pay my braces off
  • Invest in a Roth IRA
  • Run in a mini marathon
  • Read at least ten books (I read eight)
  • Start bow shooting
  • Take a picture everyday of 2014
  • Write to soldiers (I write two a week)
  • Meet with one of my friends monthly the entire year
  • Hand write a letter to an elderly friend once a month
  • Meet with a friend and ride horses three times
  • Run in three 5Ks (color rad run, chocoholic frolic, drumstick dash)

So fun right?!?!?! Looking over this list makes me so proud of myself. haha sounds so vain doesn’t it…sorry. not sorry=)

Coming into the new year as a blogger I’ve been loving all the new year post from all the blogs I faithfully follow, and here’s a great post from one of them, check it out=) I’m going to try and imply these points into my life this year.

Happy Monday!!!

thirty days on horse back

Starting September 15, I decided to try and ride a horse, a day, for fifteen days. And my ride had to last, at the minimum, 20 minutes. I did it! Sometimes I had to ride over my lunch break…or right after work before I left for home. If I had something planned at home or elsewhere that evening. I only had to ride in the rain once, it’s been years since I’ve rode in the rain. And guess what? It’s still not fun=) Sam, my horse, was like are you serious?!?!?! Also only one early morning ride, due to a Saturday spent away from home. Now riding when when the sun is just peeping up over the horizon is always fun=)

Trying to fit a time to ride into my schedule everyday, was tough to begin with. After a the first two weeks it became normal. I got to spend a lot more time with Sam. By the end he was so tired of having his picture taken that he refused to prick his ears…haha. Oh well! It was so fun, in my own world, accomplishing something solely for myself.

And I took a picture (with my cell phone, that’s always easier to use when on I’m on a horses back) everyday and posted it on instagram, enjoy!!!!!

Our new house...becoming home more everyday

Here it is...pretty cute actually! The inside is large and airy, at least for us it is. I'm starting to get used to "the sights and smells" of the place. An Amish buggy going by is normal...right? Not yet it isn't. Also our Amish neighbors are really friendly and drop by often just to sit and chat, really? It's taking a little bit to get used too...lol! Listening to cars go by at night is very different. Breaking the habit of bolting to the window when you hear a car is very hard. Where we used to live (in the middle of nowhere) if you heard a vehicle...they needed something with you or they weren't suppose to be there.
I had a dream the other night...and in it I was coming home from work...and you guessed it I went to the other house. Soooo...I think I need a little more time:)

This was taken at dusk....
