~Photo-a-day~ July 23–July 29

This past week was not very eventful. Just the normal everyday stuff…the stuff that’s not interesting to anyone else but makes up most of our lives=)

On Saturday I went with Christina up to Kokomo to her girlfriends wedding. We were late – and we didn’t actually speed but we didn’t get there on time by driving the speed limit=) it was a lovely wedding, by the way.  Their reception had amazing food! but maybe I was just hungry.  I had so much fun just spending the day with Christina…did I mention she’s amazing?!?!? yeah I know I have=)

Sunday I spent in Brown County state park…lovely place to hike! I love that place more and more each time I visit.

~Photo-a-day~ April 2–8

This week has been rainy…it’s like nature’s trying to tell us “spring is here!”
It’s always special for me to hear the first thunder of the season, (I absolutely love listening to thunder) but after a bit…I’m like “I’m good now, go away, I hate the mud.”
I seriously HATE mud!
And a lot of rain equals mud…and then I’m over it.
Have you ever had to feed animals in the mud? … and then…slipped maybe?
I sure have.
One Sunday morning dumb me….dressed for church decide to feed hay to the horse (disclaimer this was a long, long, long, time ago) …I changed shoes and headed out. And you guessed it I slipped -  I was covered in mud! It even got in my hair. And this wasn’t just mud so I smelled really bad too. Nowadays, feeding before work (my office and the horse barn are both on the same property) they splash me with mud, when I lead them in or out of the barn, all up my pant legs. The worse part of this is that I have to work the rest of day in the office like this. Horrible!
Okay on to the pictures=) please let me know which one’s you like!

Day 92

I was so tired…I just opened the dictionary=) IMG_9157-001

Day 94
~spring~
I took this from the car window…we were all headed to a elder lady’s 80th birthday party. Dad stopped on a bridge (no cars were coming, remember I live in Amish country) and I snapped away. My family is so patient and encouraging with this whole picture a day thing. And I can’t thank them enough. IMG_9176-001

Day 95
~your evening~
I spent my evening watching those around me enjoying their time at this English Country Dance. (I personality don’t care for this type of dancing…I like watching it, but actually doing it is a different story.IMG_9221-001

Day 96
~chore~
Watching my chickens drink the water I just filled for them. Part of my evening animal chores=)IMG_9232-001

Day 97
~outside~
Rain, rain, and more rain. These dropped were perfectly perfect.IMG_9262-001

Day 98

And you wouldn’t guess that with all these people living in this house, this was the only box of crayons I could find=) I guess were all grown up. I remember we used to have to open, the cabinet where we all kept them, slowly, because they might come tumbling down. And believe me picking up crayons was no ones favorite job. IMG_9364-001

Let me know what you think=)
Happy Wednesday everyone!

Hiking in Brown County

Me and mom have wanted to do this FOREVER and talked the few members of the family that were around this weekend to join us….rain or shine…and it did both. We walked Nashville in the rain and were prepared to hike in it, if needs be, but thankfully the sky began to clear on the very first trail.

I haven’t seen such beauty in a very long time. I had so much fun! Talked, laughed, time spent with your family is never wasted. We left having successfully hiked three trails. Me and mom will be returning again hopefully this year sometime=)
