When I can’t deal with the stress of the busy corporate world I just escape to a place that’s familiar to me. Filled with quiet and love. A place where I know God is. Because here I can feel and hear Him.

The freezing wind biting at my nose. The cold, wet snow fogging my camera lens. And me soaking in the most beautiful of sceneries, with numb fingers and toes. Totally happy…because I’m here;

I’m only two months into the year…2015 looked so promising at the beginning. And so far hasn’t let my expectations for it, down.

Just since the start of the year, God has been opening doors…resulting in me having to make some huge life decisions…I mean crazy big ones! But even though it’s been a tough emotional roller coaster, for me, the last few weeks, I’m happy to say I’m through the bulk of it and now strictly onto finalizing each one of them.  What I planned for myself the beginning of the year isn’t all holding together…like maybe jumping ahead a few years…I have to be okay with it. God’s plans are better anyway=) “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jer. 29:11 Being flexible and resting in the knowledge that God knows what He’s doing. I can’t wait to share more details about these things but I need to wait until everything is completely set in stone.

~Photo-a-day~ Oct 1–Oct 7

Last week  I had a very fun weekend planned for myself but turns out I had to canceled everything. I started not feeling well Friday night, but continued to enjoy myself at the sleep over, not paying attention to my body. I just continued to push myself, mentally blaming how I felt on “being tired”. I woke up early Saturday morning and the realization hit me. I WAS SO SICK! I had caught a one day stomach virus and it was determined to slow me down. I was so disappointed to not be able to go Goodwilling for the 50% off first Saturday of the month sale. I called my brother and let him know I wasn’t going to make it to his girlfriend’s little boy’s birthday party, that afternoon. Later that day I texted my friend a sorry excuse for not being able to attend her English Country Dance, that night. Bummer! Soooooo I was in my PJs all day, read, cleaned my room, etc. Fun right?!?!

On Sunday I grilled honey glazed chicken. And needless to say, since I’m writing about it on here,  I was very impressed with the outcome=)

I went over to an Amish family’s house for dinner Monday night and we began quilting a quilt I started years ago. They helped me frame it and begin. Such a relaxing evening. Dinner with a large family, washing dishes with so many girls, and then eating popcorn and quilting. Took me back to my childhood=)

I didn’t feel like working out on Saturday. This is a picture of a very sick me…but sick and all I still worked out. This was taken after I finished. Aren’t y’all proud of me? no actually I shouldn’t have, I’m still paying for pushing myself that day. I should have waiting till Sunday at the earliest.

Boating on Brookville Lake

My boss bought a new boat and was really impatient to get it in the water. Sooo only a week after he bought it we went to Brookville lake to try it out. This was actually my first time to go boating. like ever! Annnnddd I loved it! haha=) It was the perfect evening for it. Warm out, but just cool enough to make it extremely comfortable. This lake is pretty big, but just remote enough to have loads of wildlife around…

It was an absolutely perfect evening…I came to the conclusion I could do this every night=)

Isaac and Christina taking a selfyShe really was having a good time, just shy in front of the camera=)This deer came out of the woods with her twin fawns…they still had spots=)…she got a bit nervous the closer we came…then decided we were way too close and they disappeared again.This guy had SOOOO much fun, I heard about all the way home=)me <3So when the water calls…you jump in=)and yeah I joined him…We dried off, almost, completely by the wind, before we had to get in the truck.sisters…and best friendsthere were a bunch of blue herons…so I just snapped away=)The evening suns reflection on the water…

On our way home we stopped at Subway for a fun dinner and with music blaring we made our way home.
