An Ordinary Evening

Here’s what a typical night looks like at my house…not everyone is ever at home during the week in the evening (unless we have a birthday party etc.) I love each and everyone of these people so much and am so grateful for them all. They have made my life so full and are the reason I come home from work, stay up late cooking, etc. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect family to be a part of.

I grilled salmon….My beautiful sister…Hannah always in front of the sink=)This happens so much showing mom and dad things on our phones…He didn’t go and get his glasses this time, but we normally say “hey look at this” and have to wait while they go for their glasses=)Mom’s preparing the guys lunches the night before…Green beans freshly cannedIsaac and his weird way of eating watermelon, he almost eats the entire rind…???

Ally’s birthday party!

My family is wild and that is an understatement. Maybe crazy would describe them better, yeah let’s go with crazy=) But crazy in a good way…at least I think so. Just look though the photos below and you will know what I’m talking about. This was one of the loudest party’s so far and that’s why it was so much fun!

We all headed out on the front porch, after the party, to relax. We came out just in time to see a double rainbow…each color so distinct and they both had a complete viewable arch. So naturally everyone ended up out in the yard with phones, camera etc. trying to capture this magnificent view. Mine attempts sadly didn’t please me enough to end up on this blog…

I stayed up till midnight talking with the birthday girl…Alexandria=) I was reminded of how blessed I am to have this incredible girl as my sister. As the oldest she held our family together, back when I was still too young to remember (and before that). She had to take on a lot of responsibilities at a young age…that I, at 20, still haven’t had to face.  She was literally the glue that held this family together for a long time. And now, if I ever need to talk, she ALWAYS has time for me. She calls me at least once every few weeks just to make sure I’m doing okay…She’s amazing=)

Celebrating the Fourth of July=)

We went to a family’s house for an evening party on the fourth of July. Every time we’re together with these friends we always have a grand time…

Corn hole…I actually played a few games even though I don’t enjoy it at all. I like watching, but playing… who likes to play anything they’re not good at?!?!? maybe I’m the only one=)

Dinner was fantastic…all the summer cookout essentials=) Hotdogs, hamburgers, watermelon, pie, chips, friends, grill smoke, and lawn chairs.

I didn’t stick around for the home fireworks that night, but headed to our county fair’s firework show instead with Christina. It was lovely!

bottle rockets…home made=)it couldn’t be the fourth of July without watermelon…=) even though I’m on a diet and couldn’t have any=(an absolutely lovely cake a friend made for the occasion.
